Lay your cards on the table

I tell her 'lay your cards on the table, show me your mind, her deck never full but she had more than mine'

'Her picture cards were lacking but i had di full set, my hearts and diamonds were diminished but she tell me ''don't fret,

lets put our cards on the table together one mind'', now we got di full deck with plenty two of a kind,

the backs might different colour and some edges a little torn, but we got di full deck when she cold I hold her and keep her warm,

when I hungry and tired and the works a beat me down, she full my belly with food and gently removes my crown,

rubs my head top releases my frown, reminds me my deck full and our hearts abound,

Our diamonds are forever but Ill be her best friend, with Jesus in the centre this love will never end,

transparancy and openess, honesty and love, with our cards on the table and eyes of a dove,

2 blue, 2 brown our gaze is transfixed on Jesus our King, our full deck is now open to what life may bring.

I tell her lay your cards on the table, show me your mind, this love will grow older than the restrictions of time.
