The Eyeta Clan Origins

The Clan name originates from the Jawa language (Jawaese) which means 'friend'.

London Jawas - Eyeta Clan is a friendly costume group created to help people who just can not get enough of the cheaky little sand dwellers & wish to create a Jawa costume of their own.

The Clan is a Facebook group created on October 30th 2014 by Ben Lavers & Steven Carrol, who both cosplay Jawas as well as other characters at various Comic Con coventions in & outside of London. The idea behind the group was for 3 main reasons:

1) We wanted to create a group that allowed all members to join who have an interest in the character & help people create Jawa costumes which in turn increases the number of Jawas around the UK & London & potentially create Jawa mayhem together.

2) There are many costuming groups that exist & those that specialise within the Star Wars universe, our desire was to have a group that was accessible by all without restrictions.

3) With all the Jawas we met at comic con/costume events they were either, on their own, or lived quite a distance from other Jawas we had met.

Milestones
April 19th 2015 - Proposal for group logo was suggested.

August 22nd 2015 - London Jawas get their offical logo for the group.

January 29th 2016 - London Jawa's get their 1st R2D2 member.

Membership
People interested in joining our Clan will be pleased to know that there is no official requirements needed to join. As our group is a Facebook group simply joining the group is all that is required (A link to our FB group can be found in the contact section) however, we do ask that those interested in joining do so with the intention of making a Jawa
 costume.

Whether your making a Jawa to be cleared via rebel legion/501st standards or just for your own fun use we can assist, as many members have their own experience they can provide as well as useful resource links.
